Just the gaming console itself could not provide much of enjoyment without a great selection of games. Nintendo Wii games are well known for being cool and enjoyable. Every game has its own features and hightlights. Some of them are also known to be expensive because of the exceptional gaming experience provided.
This 2009, Nintendo’s game lineup has Pokemon Platinum at the top. More releases have new play control including Pikmin and Mario Power Tennis for Wii. The modified Pokemon seems to be more entertaining and thrilling. Pokemon Platinum is the newest one from the core series of the popular Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl games which originated from a 2-D format. It highlights the manifestations of powerful Pokemon including the legendary Giratina’s Origin Forme. Another one is the rise of “Distortion World” which is entirely mysterious from the Sinnoh region.
Nintendo also provides two classic Nintendo GameCube games such as Mario Power Tennis and New Play Control. The new New Play Control- Pikmin game maximizes the use of Wii Remote controller in selecting a single Pikmin or the entire army. Mario Power Tennis still has the vast selection of characters complete with motion-controlled serves and swings. Here, players gain actual interaction with the console because Wii Controller can be used to swing, hit and spins literally during the game.
Third party games are also considered within Wii console to extend the support to avid fans just like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time from Square-Enix. As a creative game, it offers unique multiplayer features across all Nintendo platforms. The release of Madworld from Sega is also exclusively meant for Wii.
More exciting games introduced by Nintendo are published by Activision, Crave Entertainment, Destineer, D3 Publisher, Disney Interactive Studios, DreamCatcher, Hudson Entertainment, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. and others. To name a few, we have Monsters vs. Aliens, Solitaire & Mahjong, Cate West: The Vanishing Files, Onechanbara “Bikini Zombie Slayers”, Play the World, SimAnimals and others.
Though the above mentioned games are really enjoyable and exciting, the top five Wii games recognized this year in no particular orders are as follows: Wii Sports Resort, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Guitar Hero: World Tour and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.
Wii Sports Resort is a must-have collection at home because of a wide range of new sports and activities done of a beach resort. MotionPlus accessory is needed to play it especially the remarkable archery which makes use of Wii Remote as the player’s bow. Wii Sports Resort showcases the motion-detection technology in Wii that provides a positive gaming experience.
The Super Smash Bros. Brawl supports multiplayer gaming involving fast-moving 2D fighting characters with a total of 35 of them from the previous Nintendo games. You can win by knocking down your opponent in the arena and you can use the “smash” attacks. Another well-known multiplayer game is Mario Kart Wii that can be played in an interconnected network together with your friends. The objective of this game is to win in the Grand Prix by racing with other 11 competitors.
As for Wii Guitar Hero: World Tour, online multiplayer mode is also supported up to 8 players. Unlike before, playing of drums and singing all along is now possible here. The last one, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop has something to do with the zombies. These action-packed games originally appear at XBOX 360 but Nintendo Wii proves that it can come up with its own version filled with more fun and excitement.
