Here’s How You Can Copy Wii Games Or Copy Xbox Games – How to Make Backups of All Your Games

Posted on 14 May 2010 by Sandra Stammberger

The Nintendo WII series gaming consoles have gained immense popularity since they were launched and have managed to wipe out the competition posed by such brands as the Xbox 360. The games that are tailor made for the WII series consoles are available on CD and DVD. The compact disks or DVD’s on which these WII games are stored are prone to damage, therefore you would want to learn how to copy wii games. A small scratch can render the whole disk useless and result in you losing your money.

It hurts all the more because you have to pay more than a few dimes for these games. It is imperative therefore to make copies of your WII games or store them on a secure hard drive or storage space which helps you replicate them as needed. Having a back up ensures the protection of your master CD and its longevity.

The games that are available for the WII series do not come cheap and if you are in the habit of mislaying your CD or having it lie around and get afflicted by scratches, copying it onto a expendable CD would be a good idea. Early on when these games were launched, they were copy proof and there was no way you could copy the contents of a WII game CD onto your hard drive or onto another disk.

This however has changed and a quick search on Google would reveal hundreds of softwares that enable you to do this without too much worry. Over time some of these have become redundant as the gaming industry has come down severely on the threat posed by piracy. If you are a non techie then what you need is simple automated software that does not require you to rack your brains to figure out how it functions and enables you to copy your WII CD without any fuss.

Making a copy of your WII game does not require you to be a technical expert or well versed with computers and softwares. You would need good software to get started and there are many online tutorials and video guides that teach you how to go about the task of copying your WII game.

It is a simple and easy process if you are able to procure software that is automated and lets you make image files of your game CD. These image files can be saved on your computer’s hard disk and copied or burned onto other disks.

Making a back up copy of your games would be a great way to save on the money you spend on replacements. The best idea would be to make a couple of copies and then store away the master CD in a safe place where it would remain secure while you put the copies to frequent use.

Copying Wii Games The Easy Way – How To Copy Wii Games In The Easiest Way Possible

Posted on 13 May 2010 by Dana Goldberg

Are you interested in learning how to replicate Wii games? Nintendo Wii is one of the most popular gaming consoles on the market today; but collecting these games can be costly. It isn’t ideal to replace games because they are scratched or broken. It is actually very simple to make a backup copy.

In you want to copy Wii games, in addition to a reliable computer that has high speed Internet, you will also need a CD/DVD combo drive and specialty software that can be downloaded from a website.

The first step in making backups of your video game progress is locating a website that gives specific directions on how to copy Wii games. There are numerous results associated with this search, it is important to find one that is both safe and contains reliable information. Many offer a money back guarantee and this is beneficial in case the software does not work or in the event that you are unsatisfied with the service. Even more important is the availability of adware and virus protection to ensure that your computer remains secure when you download software. If using a Mac then it is also important to determine compatibility between system and software.

When you look for sites, you usually compare prices but remember that you get what you pay for. Cheap sites usually offer unreliable and glitchy software. Game copying software usually costs around thirty to forty dollars. So when you come upon a site that is much cheaper than that, you probably will be compromising quality. Or a site that is a lot more expensive is probably only overcharging. You should be safe if you stay within the average price range.

After choosing the site you wish to use, it is very simple. The software is easy to use and makes copies of games after you download and install them on your computer. The software is just like your typical CD burner program. Load the original game into the disc drive, and the software creates an image from the game. The image can then be transferred onto a blank disc. Most software programs allow for a perfect backup copy of the game.

It’s crucial to note a modified Wii console is required to use any copied backup games. A normal Wii will not allow this. You will have to install a modchip to bypass the copy protection software. Afterwards, you will be able to play backup games as though they were the official copies. Backup games can be used to keep the originals in brand new condition. When you learn how to copy the Wii games, you will never have to worry about scratched discs again.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to be Released in the Summer

Posted on 25 March 2010 by Ian Collins

There is much excitement over the recent announcement of a new Sonic the Hedgehog game that goes back to the old Mega Drive (Genesis if you are in the US!) format of fast, 2d platform games. The simple but very fun gameplay ended up the defining series of games of a whole generation of gamers and became legendary among people of all age groups.

The first place Sonic popped up was on the Master System, which was the first major Sega gaming system, and the Mega Drive followed on from this. Sonic became the mascot for all of Sega’s operations, with a huge merchandising campaign behind him. The games improved greatly each time, with the Mega Drive ones being a massive step up. Sonic 1 and 2 set the benchmark, and the second one especially was brilliant. Then they set themselves new high standards on Sonic 3, with some amazing gameplay and graphics with lots of extra features. The lock on technology introduced with Sonic and Knuckles bought even more value from the older Sonic games as it bought in new characters and levels for these games. However when the Mega Drive met its end Sonic games started to lose their quality.

They made Sonic into 3D after the Mega Drive. On systems like the Dreamcast all the way up to the latest consoles, however these games got very poor reviews, and did not at all live up to expectations, leaving a lot of people disappointed. After the launch title for the PS3 “Sonic the Hedgehog” changed things completely, putting Sonic on earth and making it into a role playing game, many had lost hope of ever seeing a good Sonic game again. It was always seen that the Sonic Mega Drive games were the best and that they would never be beaten.

But with the recent announcement of Sonic 4, a direct sequel to Sonic 3 on the Mega Drive from way back in 1994, it looks as though this disappointment is about to change. The game will have all of the old best features of a Sonic game – the bosses, the enemies, the music, the gameplay and so much more. It is essentially a Mega Drive game, but in HD.

The game will be episodic, so there is no real limit to the amount that can be released. Episode 1 is out in the summer, and is released as a downloadable game on the Playstation 3, XBox 360 and Wii. It will introduce a new generation of kids to Sonic, as some will have never played it before! As a precursor to the new game, the “Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection” was released on the 360 and PS3 last year, including most of the Sonic games, and on the Nintendo DS the “Classic Sonic Collection” is out, which has all of the major games from that era as well. A clever marketing move, generating interest in the games again before the new release.

But for anyone who used to play Sonic back in the 90s, it is a very exciting prospect to see a new game on the horizon!
