This time, the player controls Chris Redfield, a recurring protagonist of the series along with a new Sheva Alomar, with the same over-the-shoulder point of view. Aside from the multiplayer format, there are more weapons included but unlike before, the weapons can be equipped while on the field instead of pausing the game and gaining access from the inventory.
This game allows online gaming; it can be played by two players simultaneously through online mode although there are instances that each player can carry on separate missions. There are also repeating battles that can surprise fans of this game.
